Rei's minimap doesn't work!

I'm frustrated. Why does my minecraft 1.6.2 can't use rei's minimap mod? I already follow the instructions but nothing happen. The minecraft doesn't error, but nothing happen and I cant ride horse anymore. God dang it! I need horse for long trip. May be i need to re install my minecraft
